Analysis of existing magazine titles.

NME
(New Musical Express)

'The past, present and future of music.' NME have used their name to give off the idea that they always have new music, the use of the word 'Express' portrays the idea that they have new music quickly and it's likely they have information about it before anyone else.

Mojo

A Mojo is a magic charm, talisman or spell. It seems that Mojo have based the name of their magazine on the idea of it being magical, this also portrays the idea that it is different to all other magazines that it competes with.

Q

Q have used their name because the it is believed that a single letter would be more prominent on news stands and therefore result in more purchases of the magazine. The magazine was originally going to be called 'Cue' to signify cueing a record, however it was changed so it wouldn't be mistaken for a snooker magazine.
